HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, New Jersey — A deadly early-morning crash in Mercer County has left one person dead and another seriously injured, according to authorities, in what is now an active and developing investigation.
Emergency responders were called to the scene shortly after 4 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of U.S. Route 130 and Spirit of 76 Boulevard in Hamilton Township.
Upon arrival, first responders found a heavily damaged vehicle with two occupants trapped inside, prompting an urgent rescue operation.
Authorities said the passenger was unconscious and unresponsive, requiring CPR at the scene. The individual was later pronounced dead.
The driver was extricated from the wreckage and transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. Their condition has not yet been publicly confirmed.
Officials have not released the identities of those involved, pending notification of next of kin.
